All polyamide, polysulfone, and thin-film composite membranes can be used with MembraneGuard MG 11 Silt Remover. It can be used at any temperature up to the highest that the membrane manufacturer recommends, starting at 15°C (60°F). Twenty-five grams of MembraneGuard MG 11 Silt Remover are diluted with one liter of water as the standard.</div>

Using Procedure

<p>
Dosage: 25 gm per ltr of water</p>
<p>
How to use MembraneGuard MG 11 Silt Remover:</p>
<ul>
<li>
Add RO permeate to the cleaning tank.</li>
<li>
Add 25 grams of Floclean MC11 gradually for every liter of available cleaning tank space.</li>
<li>
The cleaning solution can be heated to increase cleaning efficacy.</li>
<li>
Use a mixer to thoroughly mix the solution or run it through the cleaning pump.</li>
<li>
Adhere to the temperature restrictions set by the membrane manufacturer.</li>
<li>
For one hour, follow the flow rate suggested by the membrane or system manufacturer and circulate the solution through the membrane bank in the feed direction.</li>

The following recommendations may be followed in the event that the manufacturer's advice is unavailable.</p>

To avoid the removed solids from redepositing, the first return flow—up to 15% of the cleaning tank volume—should be routed to the drain in cases of severe fouling. For multi-pass systems, cleaning each pass independently will get the greatest results. If the removed material causes the solution to become turbid or discolored, it should be thrown out. Before cleaning more passes, a new solution needs to be made. Before putting the system back in service, rinse it with permeate.</p>
